Ground-state splitting around rotating Mini Blackholes

چکیده
In this letter we present the result of a spin-dependent groundstateenergy calculation for fermionic boundstates in the spacetime around a rotating blackhole. Using a slow rotation approximation and a minimax variational approach we find boundstate energies of 0 to 5 percent of the fermions flatspace restmass. The groundstate displays a spindependent splitting with an energy difference of about 10 percent of the binding energy. For a dilute gas of primordial mini blackholes with gravitationally bound electrons spin-flip transitions could possibly give rise to observable signatures in the observed soft X-ray spectrum for sources at cosmological distances.

Gravitational collapse of spherically symmetric clusters of rotating particles
The end state of the gravitational collapse of spherically symmetric clusters of rotating particles, of the type first introduced by Einstein, is discussed here. For the marginally bound initial data the spectrum of naked singularities versus blackholes formation depends on two parameters, the “strength” of the angular momentum and the degree of inhomogeneity. For the first time, a structure co...
متن کاملPhonon-Induced Nonadiabatic Rotating Currents around Nonchiral Carbon Nanotubes
Even in a nonchiral nanotube, rotating phonon modes can be excited when a nanotube is pulled through another (commensurate) one at such a speed that the ‘washboard’ frequency matches the phonon one [1]. Can these rotating phonons induce a rotating current around the tube circumference? To answer this question, we compute the electronic structure of (nonchiral) metallic armchair carbon nanotubes...
متن کاملStability of inflationary solutions driven by a changing dissipative fluid
In this paper the second Lyapunov method is used to study the stability of the de Sitter phase of cosmic expansion when the source of the gravitational field is a viscous fluid. Different inflationary scenarios related with reheating and decay of mini-blackholes into radiation are investigated using an effective fluid described by time–varying thermodynamical quantities.
متن کاملDilute, Rotating Gas
We investigate the ground state properties of a gas of interacting particles confined in an external potential in three dimensions and subject to rotation around an axis of symmetry. We consider the socalled Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) limit of a dilute gas. Analyzing both the absolute and the bosonic ground state of the system we show, in particular, their different behavior for a certain range of p...
متن کاملHydrodynamic theory of Rotating Ultracold Bose Einstein Condensates in Supersolid Phase
Within mean field Gross-Pitaevskii framework, ultra cold atomic condensates with long range interaction is predicted to have a supersolid like ground state beyond a critical interaction strength. Such mean field supersolid like ground state has periodically modulated superfluid density which implies the coexistence of superfluid and crystalline order. Ultra cold atomic system in such mean field...
